Akuma

When Akuma was young, he and his brother Gouken were students of Goutetsu. They were learning a nameless martial art from him, which was specifically for killing the opponent. With time the two brothers formed their own view of the art. Gouken could not accept the violent nature of the fighting style and formed his own fighting style. Akuma on the other hand embraced the killing intent of the style and wanted to perfect it.

At some point in his training he decided to learn alone and left Goutetsu. When Akuma returned he demonstrated his skills in a fight with Goutetsu and killed him. Goutetsu died with joy because he knew, that his student was mastering the fighting style. After Goutetsu's death Akuma took his beads and started to wear them himself.

He later challenged his own brother. Akuma lost the fight and wanted Gouken to kill him, but Gouken had no intentions in doing so. Akuma left telling Gouken, that he will return one day.

Years later Akuma returned and this time he was victorious. Akuma performed the Satsui no Hado on Gouken. He thought he killed Gouken and left. Ken, the pupil of Gouken, wanted to stop Akuma, but he was easily defeated.

After some time Akuma starts to travel the world in search of opponents. He usually stayed in the shadows observing the fights. Eventually he fought Gen, but when he realized, that Gen was sick, Akuma decided, that the fight was unfair and didn't want to continue and left. This angered Gen.

Akuma also defeated an opponent, who challenged Adon. After this Adon thought of this as a challenge to him and started searching for Akuma.

During this time Ryu was searching for Akuma to get revenge for killing his master. Ryu eventually found Akuma's island. They fought and Akuma was impressed by Ryu's skill. He told Ryu to find him when he embraced the killing intend. After this Akuma destroyed the island with just one blow to the ground.

After this Akuma once again started to train in isolation. He later once again travels the world to find opponents while he waits for Ryu. Akuma once again fights Gen. But what Akuma didn't know, is that Ryu rejected the killing intend of the fighting style.

During the second World Warriors Tournament Akuma stayed in the shadows. When the time was right he attacked Bison and killed him with the Satsui no Hado. Akuma states, that Bison was weak for letting the evil power control him and not taking control over it himself. After this Akuma once again returns to training by himself.

When the S.I.N. announced their tournament, Akuma felt that the killing intend was emerging in Ryu. He decided to once again stay in the shadows during the tournament. During the tournament he found out, that his brother is still alive. They eventually fight to see who will claim the prize. The prize being Ryu. The result of that fight is unknown, but both Gouken and Akuma survived the fight.

During the fourth World Warriors Tournament Akuma once again stayed in the shadows, observing the fights. He managed to perform the Satsui no Hado on Gill, but Gill survived by resurrecting himself. Akuma also fought with Oro, but the result is unknown.

Akuma still trains and waits, that one day Ryu will accept the killing intend and will fight him to the death.
