Arthur

When he was a child he lived as a beggar on the streets. He eventually became friends with a sailor and he suggested, that Arthur should become a sailor himself. Arthur decided to follow his advice and joined his ship. The ship, on which he sailed, eventually travelled to Japan. There he was adopted by a merchant. The merchant eventually gave him up to noble.

He eventually became a warrior and fought for the noble, but he was always targeted by other people. He eventually found a lover and had a child with her.

He wanted to prove himself to his family and to show that he is more, than other people see him as. He decides to find the legendary sword Soul Edge. After travelling the world he managed to find only a shard of the sword, but he was happy with what he got. He returned home, gave the shard to his lover and eventually married her. He continued to fight to earn money for his family.

One day his wife became ill and, although Arthur tried to cure her, she died. While grieving his wife's death a man approached Arthur. In anger Arthur send the man away. Before the man left he suggested, that the illness came from the Soul Edge shard.

Arthur decides to find Soul Edge and destroy it, so it wouldn't cause anything to other like it did to him. He took his daughter with him and started his search for the legendary sword once more.
