Athena Asamiya

Athena is one of the Psycho Soldiers. Her Psycho Powers were actually transferred to her and not inherited. She trains with Sie Kensou under Chin Gentsai in the mountains of China.

Chin enters them in the King Of Fighters tournaments to use it as training and fight against evil. After their team gains a lot of popularity and fans, Chin thinks not to enter in any more tournaments. But after Athena showed him a letter from her fan, Kaoru Watabe, she convinced Chin, that their fame helps to drive people to do good things. After the King Of Fighters 97 tournament they meet Kaoru and she starts to travel with them to some of their adventures.

Their team later had a new member, Bao. She warmly welcomes him into the team. But Kensou's power suddenly disappeared. Athena was worried, but she was sure, that they will return with time.

During the King Of Fighters 2000 tournament Athena was trapped under rubble when the NESTS base was collapsing. She was saved by Kensou, who regained some of his power. After this situation Bao started to lose his powers and feeling weak and ill.

Her regular team didn't join the King Of Fighters 2003 tournament. Because she wanted to join the tournament Athena formed a new team with Hinako Shijou and Malin.

In the King Of Fighters XI tournament Kensou returned and they entered the tournament together with one Athena's fans, Momoko, who actually also has Psycho Powers.
