Duke Burkoff

When Duke was young he lost his parents. Later in his life he became a member of a crime syndicate known as Addes. The organization performed an operation on him to enhance his power. This left a scar on his neck. He did this because Addes promised to cure his sister, who later died. Because of his enhancements his superior, Jivatma, calls him D-Type. A name, which Duke despises.

Duke was responsible for the death of Lein's parents. He was ordered to kill everyone, but he spared her life because he lost his sister. He raised her as an assassin. But she still holds a grudge against him, because of her parents.

Duke eventually became the leader of a subgroup of Addes, known as Mephistopheles. Duka became the leader of Southtown. There was only one man, who could take the leadership of Shouthtown away from him. That man was Fate. Duke ordered the assassination of Fate.

After this Duke hosted his own King Of Fighters tournament. In the finals he was defeated by Alba Meira, the adoptive son of Fate. After this Duke lost the title of Southtown King.

He tried to redeem himself during the next tournament. He is now considered a traitor by Addes.
