Gen Fu

Gen Fu lived in peace with his granddaughter, Mai Lin. In time he decided to teach a young man named Eliot in martial arts. But suddenly his granddaughter became ill and her treatment was very expensive. Gen decides to enter the first Dead or Alive Tournament to win the prize money and use it to pay for Mai Lin's treatments.

After he managed to get enough money for the treatments, Gen found out that these treatments are not enough. He decides to enter the second tournament to find the Tengu and get his nose, since the legend says the nose of a Tengu will heal any illness.

Although he didn't get the nose, but he managed to get more prize money. With that money he managed to buy more treatments for Mai Lin. They started to help, but the money was not enough for the surgery, which was needed fully recover the health of Mai Lin. Because of this he enters the third tournament and gets the second place.

After the third tournament Gen Fu's granddaughter recovered and he decided not to enter the next tournament. Instead his student, Eliot, went to test his skills. After the tournament Eliot returns and challenges Gen Fu. Eliot wins the fight and proves that he is a worthy successor.
