Goro

Goro is the prince of the Shokan race. He became the champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament by defeating the great Kung Lao more than 500 years ago.

He was undefeated since then, but during his tenth tournament he was defeated by Liu Kang. Goro was believed to be dead, but he was actually in hiding.

After Shao Khan was defeated, Goro decided to take revenge on Liu Kang. He also decided to help his people in the was against the Centaurian.

Eventually Kitana managed to convince Goro to meet with her and negotiate a truce. During the meeting Kung Lao attacked Goro from the shadows by slicing Goro's chest with his hat. Kung Lao explained, that the scar is a symbol of revenge for his ancestor. After this Goro and Kung Lao made peace.

After this Goro's Shokan army allied with the Edenian forces. They were attacking the rest of Shao Khan's armies. When Goro was weak after battle Noob Saibot attacked him and almost killed him. Ironically Goro was saved by Shao Khan. Goro pledged his loyalty to the Emperor of Outword. Goro placed his royal seal on a dead Shokan warrior, to make others think he was actually dead. After this he went into hiding together with Shao Khan.

When Shao Khan was negotiating an alliance with Onaga, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, Goro met Taven. They fought and Goro was defeated.
