Gouken

Gouken and his brother Akuma were students of Goutetsu. They both learned a technique, which was only intended to kill the opponent. Eventually Akuma and Gouken developed their own version of the style. Akuma embraced the killing intend of the style, while Gouken decided to reinvent it in a form of self-defence. Akuma eventually challenged Goutetsu and killed him.

Gouken eventually formed his own dojo to teach his fighting style. His first student was Dan, bit when Gouken found out, that Dan's intention was revenge he expelled him.

Later Gouken found an orphan. That orphan was Ryu. Gouken started to teach his fighting style to him. Later a good friend of Gouken from America send his son, Ken Masters, to study under Gouken to learn some respect and humility.

During the training Akuma showed up at the dojo and challenged his brother. Gouken was victorious in the fight, but didn't kill Akuma.

Eventually Ryu and Ken became skilled enough to leave the dojo and learn by travelling the World.

Later Akuma returned once more, but this time Gouken lost the fight. He was believed to be dead by Ryu and Ken, but was only in a severe coma.

Gouken later awakens from his coma and decides to follow his students to seal the Satsui no Hado in Ryu. He manages to do that, which leads to another confrontation between him and Akuma.
