Heidern

When Heidern was 36 years old he was promoted for achievements in strategy and martial arts. His promotion ceremony was held in a secret military base. His wife and daughter were present as well.

Rugal hearing about this event attacked the base and killed everyone inside. He also defeated Heidern taking out one of his eyes in the progress. He didn't kill Heidern seeing him not worthy and instead killed Heidern's wife and child.

After this Heidern developed his own form of fighting style and formed a special military unit called the Ikari Warriors. Together with Clark Still and Ralf Jones he entered the King Of Fighters tournaments to investigate different activities and stop Rugal.

A few years before the King Of Fighters 94 tournament he found a young amnesiac girl named Leona and adopted her. Since she was naturally skilled fighter he trained her in military combat. But being a protective father he didn't allow her to participate in any military operations.

But when the King Of Fighters 96 tournament was announced he assigned Leona as his replacement in the Ikari Team, while he issued orders from the sidelines.

When Leona experienced the Riot Of Blood during the King Of Fighters 2003 tournament he pulled her out of the competition. He didn't allow her to participate in the next tournament until she recovered.

Currently he and his team are investigating Those From The Past. They even managed to recover one of the member's bodies, but it was stolen by two powerful beings.

After hearing Clark's and Ralf's opinion on Leona's role in the team he once again lets her participate in the next tournament. He sends the Ikari Team to the King Of Fighters XIII tournament to investigate Rose Bernstein's involvement in the competition.
