Kai

Kai met Liu Kang in America, who was searching for new members for the White Lotus Society. Kai, together with Liu Kang, travelled to China to train and to become a Shaolin Monk. While they were training Shinnok attacked Edenia. Liu Kang and Kai travel to Edenia to help Raiden in battle against Shinnok.

After Shinnok's defeat Kai decides to travel the world and find enlightenment. Raiden, before becoming an Elder God, gave Kai his Lightning Staff to help Kai on his journey.
