Onaga

More than thousand years ago Onaga was the ruler of Outworld. He wanted to achieve immortality. To achieve he wanted to use the last remaining dragon egg. But he couldn't reach his goal because his advisor poisoned him and took over his throne. The advisor was Shao Kahn. Onaga's army, which was said to be undefeated, because Onaga possessed the power raise the dead, was mummified.

But Onaga found a way to communicate with the living world through an avatar. He met a young warrior known as Shujinko. Onaga tricked him to go on a quest for the Elder Gods to find the Kamidogu. When Shujinko found all of the Kamidogu, Onaga achieved the power to resurrect himself. He managed to posses the body of Reptile and use it as a vessel.

Onaga returned to Outworld to reclaim what is his. He found Quan Chi, Shang Tsung and Raiden fighting. The three tried to stop him, but they failed. Even after Raiden released his godly essence and destroyed everything in sight Onaga still was standing.

But Shujinko, who now understood, that he was deceived, gathered many warriors and using their power he destroyed each Kamidogu weakening Onaga. He struck Onaga and Nightwolf was able to send Onaga's soul from Reptile's body to the Netherrealm.

While there Onaga met Shinnok. Shinnok promised Onaga, that he will become the Emperor of Outworld once again, if he would help Shinnok in defeating Blaze. Shinnok explained that godly power will be given to the one, who will be able to defeat Blaze. Onaga didn't trust Shinnok, but he still agreed to help him.

Shinnok told Onaga to ally himself with Quan Chi, Shang Tsung and Shao Khan and send him from the Netherrealm. He met with the three and formed the alliance, but Onaga promised to gain Blaze's power for himself and he will kill anyone who dares to stand in his way.
