Scorpion

He was once Hanzo Sasori Hasashi. One of the best assassins of the Shirai Ryu. He joined the clan to give his wife and son a better life, despite his father's objections, who didn't want for his son to be an assassin. His codename was Scorpion.

One day his whole clan was annihilated, his wife and son killed and Scorpion himself was killed as well. The man responsible for this was Sub-Zero. Scorpion returned two years later as a spectre from Netherrealm to have his vengeance.

He participated in the Mortal Kombat tournament hosted by Shang Tsung. By the end of the tournament he attacked Sub-Zero, who was also at the tournament, and killed him by burning him. With his revenge achieved he returned to Netherrealm.

While in Netherrealm he heard, that a warrior known as Sub-Zero is still alive. Angered he returns to once again kill Sub-Zero. During another Mortal Kombat tournament he saw Sub-Zero spearing the life of his opponent. Scorpion later finds out, that this is not the same Sub-Zero he killed, but his younger brother. Scorpion decides to protect the younger Sub-Zero during this tournament.

Later when Shao Khan attacked Earthrealm, Scorpion was able to walk outside of Netherrealm again. He didn't align himself with anyone, but later was drafted by Shao Khan into his army. But before the final battle Scorpion found out, that the younger Sub-Zero is fighting on the Earthrealm side. Because of this Scorpion changed sides and fought on the side of good. After Shao Khan's defeat he returned once again to Netherrealm.

During his time there he met Quan Chi. Quan Chi tricked Scorpion into believing, that the younger Sub-Zero was also responsible for what happened to Scorpion's clan. Scorpion, angered, swore to kill Sub-Zero. He fought Sub-Zero and almost killed him, but he was interrupted by Quan Chi. Quan Chi explained to Scorpion, that he had tricked him and that actually he was responsible for Scorpion's clan fate. Quan Chi started to send Scorpion back to Netherrealm. Scorpion, thinking quickly, grabbed Quan Chi and teleported them both to Netherrealm.

While there Scorpion tortured Qucn Chi every way he could. Eventually Qucn Chi struck a deal with two Oni demons, Drahmin and Moloch, to keep Scorpion away from him. When Quan Chi escaped from the Netherrealm, Scorpion followed him, but did not end up in the same place. He managed to find Qucn Chi in Shang Tsung's palace, but he was ambushed by Drahmin and Moloch, who also escaped the Netherrealm alongside Quan Chi. They threw him into the Soulnado, thinking they killed him forever.

Before Scorpion was thorn apart in the Soulnado, he managed to escape into the Void. There he met the Elder Gods and saw the return of Onaga. The Elder Gods decided to make him their champion. They gave him more power and send him back to Outworld to stop Onaga.

Although Scorpion kept his side of the deal the Elder Gods did not give Scorpion what he wanted. Scorpion asked to resurrect his dead clan, but the clan returned as undead warriors. Angered by the gods betrayal Scorpion decides to stop taven from preventing the Armageddon.

He tried to stop Taven by sending his resurrected clan members after him and even fighting Taven himself, but he didn't manage to stop him. Scorpion was later killed during Armageddon.

After Raiden changed the timeline Scorpion was present during the first tournament together with Quan Chi, who ressurected him. Here Raiden tried to stop Scorpion from killing Sub-Zero, to prevent the creation of Noob Saibot. Scorpion initially agreed, but because of Quan Chi's involvement Scorpion could not control himself and killed Sub-Zero.

Later Scorpion faced Sub-Zero's brother, who was now goinf by the same name, wanting revenge. Scorpion was defeated, but before Sun-Zero could kill him, Sub-Zero was captured by the Lin Kuei to be turned into a cyborg.

Scorpion had no involvement in the Outworld invasion of Earthrealm, but he fought against Raiden, when he wanted to see Quan Chi. After that it is unknown what happened to him.
