Sindel

More than ten thousand years ago Shao Khan invaded the realm of Edenia. He killed Sindel's husband, king Jerrod and adopted her daughter Kitana and raised her to become an assassin. Sindel could not take the pressure of this situation and ended her life with suicide.

Shao Khan, after loosing Earthrealm in Mortal Kombat, decided to go another way. He decided to resurrect Sindel in Earthrealm. This would give him the right to invade the realm with force. He succeeded and Sindel was resurrected in a brainwashed state and fought on Khan's side.

Kitana managed to help Sindel remember her past and Sindel eventually turned on Khan and fought against him. After Shao Khan's defeat Sindel wanted to return Edenia to its former glory, but because Tanya betrayed her homeland Sindel was imprisoned by Shinnok's forces in her own palace. She got free when Shinnok was defeated.

Although Edenia tried to battle against the remaining Shao Khan's forces, Edenia was once again attacked by the resurrected Dragon King. Onaga entered Edenia with the help of Tanya. Kitana, who was brainwashed by Onaga, imprisoned Sindel.

But Jade managed to defeat Kitana and free Sindel. They both escaped to Outworld, but they plan to battle with the Dragon King to save their home world.
