Smoke

Smoke was a member of the Lin Kuei. He and Sub-Zero were assigned to kill Shang Tsung during the Mortal Kombat tournament, but they failed to complete their task.

After their return they discovered, that the Lin Kuei decided to turn their best assassins into cyborgs. Sub-Zero and Smoke did not approve this method and tried to escape from the clam. Although Sub-Zero managed to escape, Smoke was captured and turned into a cyborg. He was programmed to kill his former friend and ally: Sub-Zero.

Sub-Zero later managed to show Smoke, that he still has a soul. Smoke started to fight on the side of Earthrealm, but was captured by Shao Khan's forces and deactivated. He was put into one of Khan's fortresses as a trophy and remained there for year to come.

He was eventually found by Noob Saibot. He activated Smoke and programmed him to follow his orders. Noob Saibot wanted to create an army of cyborg ninja based on Smoke.

Under the command of Noob Saibot, together they attacked the Lin Kuei temple. But with the help of Taven, Sub-Zero managed to defeat the two assassins. It is unknown, what happened to Smoke after his defeat.
