Voldo

Voldo was once the main henchman for a merchant named Vercci. Vercci was selling weapons and also had a collection of rare weapons. One day he wanted to add Soul Edge to his collection and send Voldo to find it. Soon Vercci joined the search himself.

After a war started and many people wanted to get their hands on Vercci's possession, Vercci became mad. He travelled to an island, where he created an underground vault for his possessions. He ordered Voldo to kill everyone, who was involved in this expedition. Voldo stayed with his master in this vault until he died. Later Voldo became the protector of the riches and killed anyone, who would enter.

Soon Voldo started to hear his master's voice. The voice told him to search for Soul Edge once again. Voldo left the vault for the first time in many years to find the sword.

he later returned from his unsuccessful journey only to find the vault flooded. He saved, what he could. Only three years later he once again started the search for Soul Edge, because he felt its presence when Ivy was near the Money Pit.

Because he Yoshimitsu's blade had a similar energy to Soul Edge, Voldo stole it mistaking it for the sword he was searching for, and returned to the vault. But when a man tried to enter the Money Pit, Voldo killed him and found shards of Soul Edge on him. He now understood, that Toshimitsu's katana wasn't Soul Edge. Voldo once again started searching for the sword and started collecting its shards on his journey.

When Voldo returned, he found the Money Pit to be ransacked. He understood, that the people who did this were searching for Soul Edge as well. He decides to find them and get information on the sword from them.

While he travelled he started to understand, that he would one day die and the vault with all the riches will be unprotected. Because of this he also started to search for his replacement.
